This is Aiden and her "soul sister" Claire. Claire decide on Halloween they are more than just friends...they are "soul sisters"!! They are dressed as Black Cat Night Crawler Black Cats...as you can clearly see.

I am ashamed to say this is my only pictures of Jessie on Halloween. I am determined to dress her up and take her picture again. She was minnie mouse and Aiden was a black cat..get it...cat and mouse :)

Updates on craziness

Are we the only family who has been CRAZY lately?? Wow..i am shocked it is middle of October. Anyway, here are some new pictures. This is Aiden in her classic sassy way after she posted signs ALL over the house declaring which bathrooms were for BOYS and GIRLS. We are regularly reprimanded for using the wrong ones. The pictures above show how our whole house looked one Saturday after she posted stop signs saying don't go in if you were not a BOY/GIRL on all 3 bathrooms. It stayed this way for 10 days. Jessie is uber funny and very verbal. She has 5 teeth, only eats table food and likes crawling only backwards. Otherwise we are good...I am up to a 5K now in running and shooting for a 10K in December. Shane is doing awesome at work and is starting to run with me too! I'll have some new pictures up of 5 year old t-ball soon. About the the most hilarious thing i have ever seen..Aiden is a little go getter!!

Not so lady like..but so funny..listen for Aiden to toot!

We are in San Antonio avoiding Ike's drama with time on our hands... so in an atempt to catch Aiden making Jessie giggle I caught a little something extra on video. Put the MUSIC ON PAUSE to hear what happens.

Crazy eyes

I just got back from Washington DC and had a great time. I loved the Smithsonian's but I came across this statue and was like "what the heck"?? I'm sure it's like an amazingly important piece of art and all, but really, is this not the creepiest thing ever?? I never did figure out what it's origins were. I was too busy laughing. Anyhoo, I'm sure I have lost IQ points for even making a funny of this but whatever, I had to share.

It really does just fly by

Aiden started Kindergarten this morning. It was a cake walk for her and she just marched right in with her sunglasses on like no big deal. The only thing she insisted on was to kiss her baby sister goodbye. I on the other hand kissed her 3 dozen times. I gave her breakfast in the gameroom as one last little spoil my baby girl thing. Below that is a shot of how I found them in our bed in Ft. Worth this weekend. To say my heart was full when i saw this is an understatement.

Love my sister..solid food not so much

I came in Aiden's room to find Jessie off her safe spot on the floor and in her Bumbo with freshly brushed hair and Build a Bear Sunglasses. Aiden knows she is her sister but also believe she was sent her as her personal toy as well. Jessie on the other hand just sits with her mouth open watching Aiden all the time. She thinks "how cool, my own personal clown to entertain me all day".. It's about the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Jessie just can't stand solids..I've tried everything. Anyone else have this drama??
It most likley doesn't help that I find it hysterical.

Our best tricks

Currently these videos show the girls very best tricks. Aiden is officially no longer walking on two feet but bouncing through out the house at all times. Jessie's most favorite thing is her bath. She actually gets excited when she see the tub. So cute. FYI.. You can pause the MUSIC below to hear the video or if annoys you.

OMG..can't believe I'm doing this!

Okay so..my infectious cousin Mandy came to Houston last week and now has me training for a 10K and blogging. I mean really... do I seriously think I have time for either? I'll give it a whirl. I'm hoping this will help me do three things. 1. keep in touch with all my awesome cousins (you know who yall are :) 2. Keep people posted on my new business of remodeling homes (yes..I have to shamelessly advertise on my family blog) 3. Create a fun way for Aiden to learn about computers and do something together. Seems to me she will be left in the dust if she is not building hard drives by the time she is in junior high. Guess that's the way it is now. I can't even get Renee to text..world's a changin'. Well...anyhoo, I guess I'll do some picture uploads and blogs with updates about the family at my open house today...unless people bombard me wanting to buy half million dollar homes. LOL :)
Oh by the way...the title of the blog is not that we are so cool that we need to be sighted. It was a fond name a friend gave us because we were MIA for awhile while it was preggers. It kinda stuck :)

MO 2008

We had another awesome time at Mo Ranch Family Week this year. We were thrilled to have the Valdez's there too. The girls tell everyone how they "lived" next door to each other for a whole week. This shirt was one of the 5 outfits they had that matched. Mo really is the best part of our year!

Scoob

How could I forget....Here he is the current constant topic of conversation in our home.

Shane at his best

Love this picture

Our Buddy

Here we have Palmer our 6 year old lab. Let's just say he has a free spirit. Also Aiden is madly in love with him. He is also a good watch dog. If a rat toots in the back yard he barks at it.

Big Girl

This is a recent picture of Jess. She is just starting to sit up and rolling some too. She can also growl at you if you make her mad and spit her food and gag on it like a champ. Aiden loved solids...this one, not so much.

Breck 2008

Shane and I at Breckenridge 2008. This is one of the best times of the year for us. We love the snow and the cold and how amazing the mountains are. We also get a lot of time to just hang with no kids. Just the quiet of the lifts and the adventure of it all is good for us.

Sassy britches

This is Aiden Renee. She just turned 5. Scoody-Doo and Shaggy came to her birthday party after she asked me every morning for 6 months strait if Scooby was "real". So scooby came and it was awesome. The other day I was telling her she was special and such and she said why am I special? I gave her several reasons and I said even Scoody-Doo came to your birthday party. She looked at me and said uh mom..that was just a dude in a suit!! Well...there ya have it. That's Aiden. She is so spirited and smart and creative. She talkes to herself for hours making up stories about ponies with wings and why thier rose petal cottage has not sold yet. Anyway she is an awesome kid and I'm blessed to be her Mom.

Tiny little girl

This is me visiting Jessie in the hospital. I went too see her all but 3 of the 28 days she was there. I was able to just sit and hold her for hours on end. As scary as it was, it was also incredibly peaceful in a way. Everyone should be able to have such precious uninterrupted time with their new babies.

Jessie Layne

Jessie is our precious baby girl born 12/1/2007. She came almost 2 months early and had a bit of a rough start. She spent 28 days in the NICU at Memorial Hermann. She is now thriving and amazingly sweet. She smiles at everyone!! She also is a little fighter..just try giving her medicine.
